I meant 11 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 1 o'clock as for the position of the dial
indicator.

But yes, having dealt with a push button stove, it is very frustrating
that there are no gradations. I think my mom's "new" (now over 30 years
old) stove is labeled low, medium low, medium, etc so it probably can't
really be set for in between the indicators either.

That can get a bit boggling--do I want this part of the coil on or not?

And sometimes the pieces you think might be worth something are nothing
but junk and the ones you may write off are the high value items.
