fate of the poor animal.

Sadly, those numbers aren't so way off for some
parts of the States as well.

Sometimes you taste things to touch on a quite alien
culture. I ate so little of these things, raw and
cooked tastes measured in grams (half grams perhaps)
rather than ounces, that perhaps I was unfair to this
particular food, but even these tastes gave me a
profound conviction that I would not survive up there,
plus a measure of respect for those who could. A couple
fingernails' worth of blubber harked back to an ointment
my mother used to use, Desitin, which was made with cod
livers. Rich beef indeed. Perhaps we should have sliced
the blubber thin and rendered it crisp, but I was not
going to suggest that for fear of poisoning the local
atmosphere.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.00

      Title: Hobo Buns
 Categories: Main dish, Vegetables
      Yield: 3 servings

      2 T  Mayo or salad dressing
      3 ea Kaiser or french rolls,split
      1 ea Large tomato, sliced
      3 ea Slices cheese
    1/2 t  Prepared mustard
      3 ea Slices bologna
      3 ea Green pepper rings

  Mix mayonnaise and mustard; spread over cut sides of rolls.  Place
  bottom halves of rolls on serving plate.  Top with bologna, tomato,
  green pepper, cheese, and top halves of rolls. Microwave uncovered on
  high (100%) until cheese begins to melt, 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.
