Yes, they were good at one time but have lost it. Don't know if it's
from the super abundance of Wal-Mart stores all over the country or
what. A couple of other chains folded completly--remember WT Grant and
Big N/Ames?

We went to Sears from time to time when we were in GA as they weren't
too far away from where we lived. Now we've got to go down to Raleigh to
get to Sears, a bit more of a trip. I'm not sure if there's one in the
Triangle Town Center or if the Crabtree Valley Mall has the only one in
town; either way, we've not been since we moved here.

Yes, I've been in some run down W-Ms too. Some still have the snack bar,
some have converted to a chain restaurant just inside the door. The
local one in WF has a Blimpie's. Steve used to get a cup of coffee and
sit there studying while I shopped. He'd do the same at the Whole Foods
Market cafes too.

I'd probably switch out my home made white sauce mix, made up with
chicken stock, for the soup. We could use fresh basil as well; wwe've a
good patch of it outside our kitchen door.
