=============
Hi Ruth,

-> RH> caught something that killed them. Then mama cat went out one day
-> RH> didn't come back. No idea what happened to her.

-> Coyotes get her? We had several cats from one family line that had heart

 RH> There were no coyotes here then; this was 40 years ago.

Well, something got her or she adopted a new famly.

-> issues. The cat that had the 2 litters was one born to a mom cat we had
-> that died at the vet's after spaying. Kept the only kitten that hadn't
-> been adpoted, and the name. Dad had thought all would find homes so had
-> designated them Able, Baker, Charlie & Dog. Go figure, we found homes
-> for all but Dog so we had a cat named Dog.

 RH> (LOL) One guess - somebody knew a lot of GIs.

Someone was in the Navy during WWII. Steve learned Alpha, Bravo,
Charlie, Delta instead.

 RH> cats
-> -> were indoor/outdoor ones.

-> RH> We've generally had two, but had three for a while.

-> They can be quite the entertainment, especially siblings.

 RH> These two are littermates and act like it.

I've seen that enough times.

-> -> No, I'm waking him up now so he will be alert for supper to be served
-> -> shortly. Spinach/strawberry salad, turkey tenderloin and quinoa. Got
-> the spinach at the farmer's market earlier today.

->  RH> I don't think he'll mind being woken up for that!

-> He didn't, and had a good appetite. I should have gotten more spinach.
-> (G)

 RH> You'll know better next time. I can make spinach vanish too.

Not hard to do with good stuff. I'm getting spoiled with having the
market year round now; won't want to go back to frozen spinach if we're
ever in an area without a year round market.

-> -> RH> and the spiders would hitch a ride. Wharf cats thought they
 RH> made good toys.

-> -> Free fun!

->  RH> Also free lunch!

-> Didn't Mom cat ever tell them not to play with their food?

 RH> She was probably too busy eating her own.

After she finished playing with it.

-> RH> Yum. I can't imagine why. I sometimes find cheese in the market
->  RH> marked down
-> RH> to get rid of it. Not the Jarlsberg though; it doesn't last long
-> RH> enough in the case.

-> I know. (G) Whole Foods puts their small pieces in a box with a reduced
-> price--good way to sample small amounts to see if you like them or not.

 RH> I've been known to snag things like that. I've gotten 90% discounts
 RH> at Big Y by keeping my eyes peeled. The limburger lump didn't work
 RH> out so well, but the lemon stilton was yummy.

Sounds like you get a different assortment than I do.

-> -> Most likely, I've got my own tool box full of goodies.

-> RH> I've got my late dad's, and some of my own, and some of Grandpa's.
->  RH> I'm pretty well set.

-> I will probably get some of my dad's eventually too, but not many as my
-> box is filling up.

 RH> Some of Grandpa's are railroad engine size pieces. I don't have a lot
 RH> of use for them, except when they really come in handy.

And you have a good sized house with basement and attic for storage.

 RH> I usually make cheesecakes for that.(LOL) I did currywurst for last
 RH> year's missions conference though. The cheesecakes are an easier sell.

-> -> Probably forgotten in the busy-ness of the start of the week. If
 RH> nobody had anything that needed to be put into the fridge, it
 could have been easily forgotten. But, it's history now.

-> RH> Cheese under the bridge, as it were. Or down the hatch.

-> Most likely the latter.

 RH> Something tells me you're correct. There are a few hard-core sweet
 RH> tooth types over there.

My sweet tooth has been reined in but it's not that far from the
surface. Only thing that keeps me from letting it loose very often in
knowing I'd face a super high blood sugar reading a few hours later.

Catch you later,
Ruth
