I go for more classic lines there as well.

I'm over 35 years out of high school, and don't miss it.

My dorm was built around the turn of the 19th/20th centuries, with wings
added in the 40s. It had one of the 2 dining facilities on campus in the
basement; we were served family style until the new campus center opened
up 2nd semester of my sophomore year. Then meals went cafeteria style
and the old dining facility space was renovated for classrooms and a
"social hall" for the dorm girls. Laundry facilities were added I think
during my senior year; before that we had to trek down town to the
village laundromat.

I'm surprised sometimes when we run the stove, toaster, Keurig, and
George Foreman all at the same time that we've not blown anythiig. Oh,
and the freezer is also on that side of the kitchen. The stove probably
is on its own circuit but not sure if all the others are on the same
circuit or it's 2 different ones.
