The Fit, the (Toyota) Yaris, the (Nissan) Versa, and the Chevrolet 
(Daewoo) Aveo are all urban econo-boxes. Perfect for what they are meant
for ... which is not grand touring machines or cargo haulers. Like the 
Smart for Two, of which our missing moderator owns an example, and which 
his daughter and her friend drove from Connecticut to Florida last year 
with no problems, they do well in their designed environment ... while 
saving money, fuel and parking space.

I have a friend here who has a Fit and really likes it. When she wants 
to take a longer trip and carry much in the way of presents, goodies, 
etc. she calls the local rent-a-wreck agency and gets a bigger vehicle 
for the week-en or week it is needed -- without paying a premium in gas,
maintenance and purchase cost the rest of the year.

It's all about priorities. As much as I enjoy my Benz I am beginning to 
look about for a 4 cylinder Honda or Nissan that will double or treble 
my fuel mileage.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Honda's Pickled Eggs III
 Categories: Eggs, Snacks, Appetisers
      Yield: 12 servings

     12 lg Eggs
      1 c  Tarragon vinegar
      1 c  Water
      2 tb White sugar
      1 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Celery seed
      1 cl Garlic; minced
      2    California bay leaves

  "Use this recipe as a last minute side dish. These lightly
  spiced pickled eggs are always a treat, especially served
  with breads and cheeses." -- Honda

  Place egg in a large saucepan and cover with cold water.
  Bring water to a boil and immediately remove from heat.
  Cover and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes.
  Remove from hot water, cool and peel.

  In a medium saucepan over medium heat, mix the tarragon
  vinegar, water, sugar, salt, celery seed, garlic and bay
  leaves. Bring to a boil, then simmer 30 minutes. Set aside
  to cool.

  Pour mixture over eggs; cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3
  days.
