Likewise... there are days... ;)

Hmmm... maybe it IS a mix of meds and aging... he just had the latter
already without really noticing, you had the former likewise... ;)

NB>> She seems to be equating swing shift with the second shift
ML> I don't know which usage gave birth to the other, but
ML> many make that equation, as do I unless there's evidence

I find that a bit odd... I'd always heard of swing shift as the being
scheduled for different shifts around the clock... maybe it's a regional
thing... never really paid attention to shifts until we moved here, as
Daddy was always either days as a researcher or days (sometimes long
ones) as a professor...

ML>> Also, there's a significant workforce of single people and
ML>> empty-nesters who could be apportioned between second and
 ML>> third shift.
NB>> Richard always liked third shift best... whether at Kodak or at
NB>> Wegmans... and our son is a night owl, too... :) If Richard was able
NB>> to get work again, he'd still not mind working that shift... I'll
NB>> admit I'd just as soon he was working regular days now, though... :)
ML> For most of my life night has been more comfortable both
ML> physically and psychologically. That's part of why I went
ML> into music, a nighttime profession, and not something like
ML> medicine, mostly a daytime profession.

Except for obstetrics, which is 24-hour... ;) Pediatrics can be,
too... :)

ML> Also, being a vampire was not a viable option. Speaking of
ML> which, why the current fascination in popular culture with
ML> vampires and zombies and such?

Goes in cycles...? ;)

ML> Given my current routine (lack of), I do go back and forth
ML> among several of the systems, not finding any of them
 ML> currently favorable.

I used to be, if anything, a little biased towards night... Now, I'm
just tired, no matter which... ;) Years of crisis counseling got me to
where I can function at a moment's notice, if need be, no matter what
time of day or night... but the fallout I think has been to make me
neither owl nor lark... and to need rest no matter when... (G)
