If not on camera they probably could have faked it. On of the things we 
do at the chilli judgings is to burn through a LOT of plastic spoons. 
One taste - one spoon. Then toss the spoon into the bin. If you wish to 
re-sample a cup you have to get a fresh spoon.

When I am cooking chilli I keep a spoon exclusively to dip samples for 
tasting into another spoon or "souffle" cup. That spoon never touches 
anything but the chilli.

One of the "common sense" health department rules that actually makes 
good sense.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Greek Honey & Lemon Pork Chops
 Categories: Pork, Chilies, Citrus, Herbs
      Yield: 4 servings
 
      4    Bone-in pork rib chops; 1"
           - thick
      2 tb Honey
      2 ts Fine shredded lemon peel
      2 tb Lemon juice
      1 tb Snipped fresh mint
           +=OR=+
    1/2 ts Dried mint; crushed
      1 tb Olive oil
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Cayenne
 
  Trim fat from chops. Place chops in a resealable plastic
  bag set in a shallow dish.
  
  For marinade: In a small bowl, combine honey, lemon peel,
  lemon juice, mint, oil, salt, and cayenne pepper. Pour over
  chops. Seal bag; turn to coat chops. Marinate in the
  refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours, turning bag occasionally.
  Drain chops, discarding marinade.
  
  For a charcoal grill, place chops on the rack of an
  uncovered grill directly over medium coals. Grill for 11 to
  13 minutes or until chops are slightly pink in center and
  juices run clear, turning once halfway through grilling.
  (For a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium.
  Place chops on grill rack over heat. Cover and grill
  as above.)
