Kinda caught in between a rock & a hard place there. I'd have not walked
at night, and depending on the roads/streets, might not have done much
day time hiking either.

Lake effect snow. Getting any from the latest system? The forecast here
is ambiguous--not sure if we'll have snow or not tomorrow into Tuesday.
They are saying nights will be below freezing and possibly hitting the
low 40s for highs those 2 days.

Depending on the dorm, it was more of a distance for Houghton students.
Even so, the girl's dorms were/are closer to the dining facility than
the guys ones. (It's the top floor of the Cmapus Center.)

Can get a good wind tunnel effect if the wind is coming from the right
direction there. Not a fun thing to be in during a storm.

That's what a lot of the guys did had lunch on campus. Others did lunch
and supper but not breakfast.

Best to avoid the possibility of offending--but she knows I lived in AZ

I'd probably play it safe and do the lemon pound cake.

Small chunks that are affordable. Also gives us the chance to try one
that may or may not be liked, without buying a big piece only to find we
don't like it. They also put out a lot of samples of their hard cheeses
on a rotating basis--that's how I found I like the cave aged gryere. (G)
