Don't think it's the prestige, exactly... just that their origins were
all basically some sort of education... and all the hospitals around
here do take in nursing and medical students from all the campuses
around (RWC and MCC also offer nursing degrees, eg, even if UR is the
only one that does doctors and dentists) for their practicums and
internships...  there really is a focus on teaching in this area...

Strong's not that bad anymore... although I suppose that anywhere one
could have that sort of thing happen...

Doesn't look like we did...  Only got a dusting of snow each of a couple
of days, lower temps again... there's off-again, on-again flurries and
such predicted for much of this week, into the forseeable future, but no
real accumulation expected... and temps warming by the end of the
week... we should have spring by, oh, maybe May or so...  (G)

Close enough's been good enough for the sort of cooking I've done...
Can't think of anything I've needed really precise measurements for in
the kitchen...  The chem lab, well, that was a different story... ;)
Mostly the scale just sits on the cookbook book shelf looking pretty. ;)
I may have used the scale when I was doing some diet or other, but
that's a long long time ago, now...  :)

I suspect that I would have done that weight measurement by
guestimation, figuring that an ounce or two either way wasn't going to
make much of a difference...  :)
