I went with the Blue Cross Plan F - which means that so long as I use
hospitals/doctors that are in-network it's covered. And all my possibilities
AFAICS are in-network. Dennis had Health Alliance and they were going to
up-rate him about 40% - so, I told him to check out Blue Cross. That's what
friends are for, after all. I make no claims to omniscience about this, though.
Georgia's ol' man, Ted, is so tight with a nickle that she has to clean buffalo
dung out of his pockets when she does the laundry, picked Blue Cross after
parsing though *ALL* of the options. And I figured that if that tight old
barstool thinks it's a deal - that's the way I am going. Never regretted it.

There is another option in Illinois (and maybe where you live) if the income
(even Social Security and pension) is below the threshold one can use Medicaid
to pick up the co-pays ... and dental. I (and Dennis) missed on that. But,
still, it might be worth a look.  Bv)=

It may just mean that they didn't warn you. If things start clouding up - beat
feet back to that eyeball mechanic and raise a ruckus.

Been my experience that the tide smells of rotting seaweed and dead barnacles.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Ruckus Chilli
 Categories: Soups, Chilies, Chocolate, Vegetables, Herbs
      Yield: 6 servings

      5    Dried chilies: California or
           - NuMex, ancho, pasilla &
           -  chipotle
      3 lb Hamburger
      3    Bay Leaves
      1 tb Peppercorns
    1/2 ts Cayenne
      1 tb Paprika
      1 tb Cumin
    1/4 c  Baker's Cocoa
    1/4 c  Instant Coffee
      1 tb Garlic
      1 ts Salt
    1/2 c  Flour
      1 tb Molasses
      1    Whole Carrot
     16 oz Can beef broth
     16 oz Can Brooks Chili Beans
      8 oz Can refried beans
      8 oz Diced tomatoes w/tomato
           - juice
      2 la Onions
    1/2 c  Flour
    1/2 tb Lemon juice

  Steep dried peppers in 8 cups of boiled water. remove from
  heat and let stand one hour, stirring frequently.

  Brown meat in a large Dutch oven with 1 fine chopped
  onion.

  Add all dry ingredients to pan, sprinkling in a little at
  a time, stirring, until well mixed.

  Strain peppers, add juice to meat, add beans, tomatoes
  with sauce, beef broth, chopped second onion, molasses,
  carrot and refried beans for a thickener. Simmer for 2
  hours.

  Just before serving, add 1 tbsp of lemon juice.
