If I've got rice, it's fair game for soup. Same as pasta, no matter what
shape. For supper I made zuchinni "parmesan"--rounds of zuchinni dusted
in flour, fried, finished in dish with marinara sauce and mozzarella
cheese. I cooked bow tie pasta to go with it. BTW, the zuchinni used was
a round shaped one, about baseball size/shape.

I've done them quite often. Back before Steve went into the Army, I made
one once that started with a bunch of chicken necks and backs. IIRC, I
added abotu 12 different kinds of vegetables to it, don't recall if
there was any rice or pasta. It actually ended up being more of a stew
in consistency but it was a good one. It cleaned out a lot of odds and
ends in the fridge into a new dish.

Something different, and a way to use up celery. Steve would probably
