You probably never used it because you had sufficient other
alternatives...  It was a local POTS bbs for me when I first got into
bbsing.  He was down for a number of years around the Y2K point, and
when he came back, it was telnet, not POTS.

Yup... what we learn on tends to feel the most familiar.  :)  Mike
turned me on to BlueWave in the early days, and it made a major
difference in being able to do any sort of ongoing messaging, especially
for genealogy.  For whatever reason, the couple of QWK readers I tried
at the beginning (or maybe it was a bbs compatibility problem) just
wouldn't make reply packets that got anywhere...
