Three actives was my record, but sometimes many bags were
hung from the trees. I asked about this, and they said
that it saved on tubing, and you didn't want to waste that
last bit of precious medication, did you. I figure if my
body needs that last 3 mL of the liter that much, I might
as well pack it in right away.

There is a book of things that are authorized to be
administrated together. Magnesium and one of the balanced
electrolyte solutions (I forget which) was a combination
not listed in the book, and they couldn't do them together.
I said, what's magnesium going to do, and they couldn't
answer. So they did the magnesium separately, and the vein
blew, as I knew it would, and caused me more pain than the
appendix had. After that I refused the magnesium until they
figured a compatible combination for it.

Well, what they think is of tertiary importance to me.
I'm pretty sure they've figured that out.

Indocin was the standard when I was growing up. Now it's
used for migraines, not so much gout (looked it up).
Allopurinol, as I recall, used to be part of the chemo
cocktail in the '50s or '60s for I think leukemia.

Basic Mustard Butter
categories: condiment, ingredient
yield: 1 batch

4 to 5 Tb butter, room temp
- beaten until light and fluffy
1 Tb mustard, or to taste
1 pn salt

In a small bowl, using a wooden spoon or a standing mixer with a paddle
attachment, combine all of the ingredients until thoroughly incorporated.
