That was a good deal. We had bojangles chicken for lunch today--only
paid $1.94 as we had a $10.00 gift card to cover the rest. (G)

We're still waiting on Wegman's so will find the best prices we can for
meat elsewhere. Lowe's had a BOGO on chicken breasts so I got some there
for use in various things--stir fry, schnitzel, etc.


 RH> started in the smoker this morning but is in the oven now. Steve
 RH> thinks the thermostat on the smoker is going bad; the meat should have
 RH> hit 170 before he took it out about 9 hours after putting it in. He
 RH> decided to finish it in the oven--better lighting and not having to run

Steve has a thermometer with a remote but I think it monitors just the
meat. He will probably trouble shoot the thermostat when temps warm up
and dry out but is planning to smoke cheeses next week while it's still
cool.

 RH> That would be a good time to stock the freezer--right now, mine is
 RH> almost full from what we got last fall. Between the move and travel,
 RH> we've not eaten too much from it yet.

 DS> The real question is whether or not you really know what is in it :-}}
 DS> Freezers have a habit of letting things get buried and forgotten.

I've got a good idea. We're eating more out of it now that the kitchen
is more cleared up and I can get to the freezer better.

Not authentic Italian but would make a good snack anyway.
