When it happened to us, we didn't go directly to ER... figured we were
doing ok... but after the shock and all wore off, we noticed a lot more
aches and pains, and did go to Urgent Care to get things checked out..
ended up not doing anything more, got a script for a muscle relaxant
that I thing neither of us took after all...  xrays only showed the
usual incipient arthritis expected of any one of our age...  I'm not
surprised that he's physically exhausted from the ordeal... he probably
spent a lot of energy both in the adrenaline rush and the actual
controlling the car in the circumstances...  Not be surprised if the MG
was a factor in that as well, either...

I'm becoming decidedly less intrepid than I used to be... especially in
wintry weather...  generally I'm ok once I'm actually out and driving,
but I call it quits much sooner than I used to, too...

Probably.  Except with more damage in the front of his car... ;)

Sounds like either there's lots of visitors renting cars... or lots of
accidents needing rental cars while things are taken care of...  No car
dealers in town renting cars...? or is that only for their own customers
with cars in the shop...?   By now, you should have something, though...?
