Odd. I would expect, given the usual bureaucrap's proclivity for homogenisation
and uniformity that the same product would be commoditised nationwide -- even
where it didn't make any sense whatsoever.

RH> And has he kept squeaky as cheese curds clean since then?

AFAIK, haven't seen much of him since that particular coffee shop closed. But,
I've not seen his phiz nor name pop up in either the obits or the "Police Beat"
feature in the local bird-cage liner. Bv)=

RH> It can,, even with Tupperware, as I've found out over the years. Then,
RH> too, I've lived in some more humid climates than you.

The Great American Outback can get plenty humid in the summertime. Our RH for
the past week has been in the high 90s. Yesterday was a match 99oF/99% relative
humidity.

RH> sundries. We do not get coffee or tea there, as we've other brands we

DD> I find that their Beaumont coffee is as good (or better) than Folger's
DD> Classic Roast. My preferred is still bean coffee mixed 1/3 dark roast,
DD> 1/3 Columbian and 1/3 French roast, ground just before brewing. But,
DD> my Scottish ancestors spin in their mausoleums every time I spend that

RH> because of the bag it yourself policy of the store.

DD> As long as they could get along with Germans. Bv)=

RH> Both of my folks are of direct German ancestry; they had no problem
RH> with Aldi's being a German company. OTOH, my dad wasn't too thrilled
RH> with our SIL's Mitsubishi Eclipse as he was strafed by Mitsubishi
RH> planes in the Pacific Theater during WWII.

That was sort of a mistake - the Eclipse was built in the Bloomington-Normal
(IL) plant for its entire model run. A couple of my friends worked there and
were laid off from their cushy union gigs when they discontinued that model in
favour of the Endeavour SUV.

BTW - Mitsubishi built pretty good aeroplanes (and continue to do so) --
politics and warlords notwithstanding.

RH> or wherever and bring them into the house. Then we have to remember to
RH> bring them back out to the car. (G)

I put mine by the door when I have stowed the shopping and take them out with
me to put in the truck next time I use the car. I only have a couple of canvas
totes. Most are made of "recycled whatever" and labelled for grocery stores or
Pubic Radio Stations (as a premium for monetary support).

DD> express line" when a light went on in my head and a little voice said
 DD> "Remember where you are".

RH> Almost tempting to "reverse shop" and come back another day or time?

Not really, ALDI moved their stores to be near the ChinaMart Supercenters. So I
have to go further and "out of route" to shop there. As a consequence I shop
there much less than I used to. As do many of their lower-income patrons for
whom the now closed center-city store was the main grocery store as it was in
convenient walking distance or fairly easily accessible by city bus. Neither of
the ALDIs currently have bus service within 8 long blocks (or more).

Cook meat and chopped onion in a bowl in the microwave with a

using only 1/4 cup water. Stir in the chilies and tomato.
Stir in cheese and sour cream.

Serve hot with tortilla chips or Fritoes.

If you want to make it pretty garnish the top with chopped
