I wish my country's Treasury Dept would get on the ball and bin the dollar
bills. We have a perfectly nice dollar coin that is now getting hard to get -
because everyone resists changing from the expensive to print, easily worn out
paper dollars.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Dr. Pepper Cherry Marshmallow Cake
 Categories: Cakes, Fruits
      Yield: 16 Servings

      2 cn Dark sweet cherries; pitted,
           - drained, reserving syrup

MMMMM-----------------------JELLO MIXTURE----------------------------
    3/4 c  Reserved cherry syrup
      3 oz Pkg cherry Jello
    1/4 c  Dr. Pepper
    1/8 ts Almond extract

MMMMM-----------------------BATTER MIXTURE----------------------------
      1 pk Yellow cake mix
    3/4 c  Dr. Pepper
      3 oz Pkg cherry Jello
      4 lg Eggs
    1/2 c  Vegetable oil
      2 c  Minature marshmallows

  Arrange cherries evenly on bottom of a greased 9 x 13 pan.

  Preheat oven to 350oF/175oC. In a small saucepan, combine
  the cherry syrup, 1 package of cherry Jello and 1/4 cup Dr.
  Pepper; gently heat until Jello is dissolved. Add almond
  extract and cool slightly. In a large mixing bowl, combine
  yellow cake mix, 1 pack cherry Jello, oil, eggs and 3/4 cup
  Dr. Pepper. Beat on high for 3-4 minutes.

  Pour cooled Jello mixture over cherries in pan. Sprinkle
  evenly with the miniature marshmallows and then carefully and
  evenly spoon the batter mix over the marshmallows. Bake for
  40-45 minutes.

  Cool on rack for 45 minutes. Chill 3-4 hours. This is a self
  icing cake!!!
