Well, yeah. That and the crockpot. Sometimes I like to make something up 
the night before and stash it in the icebox. Then just before I leave 
for work I put the container back into the crockpot and let it go until 
I get home.

Scampi is, of course, a sauce. I have one I use with small pasta and 
sometimes shrimp or shredded chicken. Or in place of pesto on long 
pasta.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Scampi Sauce
 Categories: Vegetables, Herbs, Citrus
      Yield: 5 servings

    1/2 c  Butter
    1/4 c  Olive oil
    1/4 c  Chopped green onion
      1 tb Minced garlic; or more
      1 ts Salt
    1/4 c  Fresh parsley
    1/2 ts Pepper
 14 1/2 oz Can Red Gold diced tomatoes;
           - drained, rinsed
      1    Lemon; juice only
           Cooked noodles (farfalle or
           - piccolini)

  In skillet, heat together butter and olive oil and saute
  green onions and garlic.

  Add lemon juice, salt, pepper and parsley. Continue
  cooking for a few minutes.

  Add tomatoes and heat through.

  Serve over buttered noodles.

  Makes 4 to 6 servings

  This is a wonderful pasta sauce! It goes great with shrimp
  or chicken.
