He was likely talking about the wall warts/regulated PSs, right? I've heard
people call those transformers. I couldn't convince a local once that those can
come with an AC output.

Reattaching to my brain mostly. <G> I spent the last twelve years in constant
pain, and wondering why nothing was stickin' to the synapses. I've pulled out
the old TV Serviceman's Manual, (...Or some title along those lines. The Audel
published one anyway.) thinking most of the CRT stuff would still apply to a
'puter monitor. I spent most of those twelve years picking up large monitors
for next to, or no money, and as you guessed, some of them are more working
than others.
