  I still believe the collapse of the USSR  so fast was not in the

The journalists there and I think here are paid for the same services

Yes I remember Mr. Pozner doing his reports, and when I saw him on the
documentary he looked well paid, and a happy fat cat.

It might have been awkfull during the Soviet Era, but then look at the
Cold War plan for the East.   Surround and cut them off from trade,
and cut off those trading with the USSR.   End result collapse.

He loves those supermarkets, because he can afford their high prices
geared for the fat cats.    Seen that here too.

  Seen that here too...Doctors who have to drive taxis.  

  Checkout the new way to hire employees now ...it is coming sooner
or later to Russia.   Thats a reason for people to protest, and
resist being paid slaves.

   Same here with the costs to get junior into hockey or sport.  They push
and yell, punch refrees and ... just how long does a sportsman last
at his/her game until used up, and having to go and work?

My pension Alexander was cut in half.  I am now using up my savings.
I have no children, and we are thinking what to do next.

Yes.  By all means look to the west, and checkout our results. The all
mighty dollar rules the so  called Decomcratic elected Governments
as they listen to Big Business for their instructions.

As I mentioned I didn't like the swift collapse of the USSR.   It just
ushered in chaos.    You are right, Russia has never been a wolf, it
is viewed in Western Countrys as the Russian Bear.   It has had to
defend itself from attacks from the West.    The after thought is
fear of another attack from the west.  Our planners I think fear
an attack from a chaotic Russia.   Just all based on heresay and
false information.   Any attack from the East was launched further
east and even Russia was invaded, on their way to the west...so
this falsehood has been fostered which is totally wrong.

I wanted when the USSR was near to collapse, for the UN to step up
and offer relief for the citizens of the USSR, and then to help
them re-organize into whatever way they wanted.  Return to , or
try a Parliamentary system or Dumar as they have done in their
past years....Czar or no Czar.    

Now with Mr. Putin scared of these missles, and broken treatys
and going to point his missles at Europe and the west, well
it is about time, things got talked out, and Russia helped
or what happens might just maybe the start of something bigger.

  A ride to Toronto and back $ 16.00 the last time I checked.
The total distance is 110miles.   I have no idea the rate of
exchange.   In Sao Paulo Brazil, I went to the ocean, and it
cost us R$ 26.00 each for perhaps the same distance I would
do here to Toronto.    Rough exchange one way in a tourist bus
$ 18.00CDN money.

Our gas price today in the Point Alexander is $1.02:9 ...per litre

OK I understand.    I lived on the farm too...and the town never offered
to pave the road going to our place,too! <g>.    In those days, I enjoyed
the tractor, and the pickup truck.  No bike...you are lucky.

 My friend from Brazil, loved it when here at my home, the
creaking door ... It reminded him of the American TV show
called the Waltons.   Oh well...
