There is a problem with that attitude.  I'll let you discover it.

Besides, I do not have such a big problem with how FidoNet is run.  The
echolist is not a part of FidoNet and should not dictate how FidoNet is run.

Poor argument, John.  My house is not open to the public and used for a public
service.  The echolist is.  It and its operator should be held to a certain
level of accountablity to those he/it serves.  As it is, Thom can do whatever
he wants to the echolist and no one can do anything about it.  That includes
altering echolistings based on a whim or personal bias.

May I remind you that regardless of who created FidoNet, Zone 1 is but a small
percentage of today's FidoNet.  The only ones that are having a problem with
this fact are those from Zone 1 that think they mean anything to FidoNet as a
whole.

While FidoNet was growing and Zone 1 was the dominant force, its members did
their best to make sure that FidoNet was run by Zone 1 rules regardless of how
abusive and dictatorial they were.

Well the tables have turned and Zone 1 has only a small percentage of the nodes
in FidoNet, yet Zone 1 members seem to think that they can continue to dictate
how FidoNet is run.

A rather arrogant stance.

However, the echolist keeper failed to follow his own FAQ to resolve the issue.
 He shoves that FAQ down the throats of others, yet ignores it himself, when
convenient.

No, Zone 1 need a governing body to teach it that it is no longer the be all
and end all of FidoNet.
