I knew I was a spelling genious from an early stage in my life. I was in
the second or third grade when a Sunday School teacher would ask me to
spell and give the definition of hard words found in the bible (part of
his Sunday School lessons). Yes, my parents made me attend church until I
was 12. At that age they felt that I should be emanicpated and given the
opportunity to make up my own mind, which meant that I no longer had to
go, if I didn't want to. I haven't since.

I had no choice, I attended the public high school. I even failed
Freshman English, because it became so boring, I couldn't keep my eyes
open. However, I never missed a lesson, I just didn't bother with the
tests my first year in the class. Besides, pussy was more important than
an education.
