All of the below noted, it is still not "BBS" technology... no.
I understand EXACTLY -how- it works, am setting it up, but as I
said in my other message... I am classifying it as what it is... offline mail
technology.

QWK... changes the messages from an FTN message base to QWK packets... the
users recieve them, reply to, or write messages, send them back to the BBS.

JAMNNTPD... changes the messages from an FTN message base to newsgroup
compatible messages... the users recieve them, reply to, or write messages,
they are sent back to the BBS.

Same thing, just a different conversion.

In practice, it is exactly the same thing as offline mail... the offline mail
client is replaced with the newsgroup client.

It is EXACTLY the same thing, except in a fancier package.

It isn't even FTN technology, just fancier offline mail technology.
