He always enjoyed that sort of thing. I couldn't stomach 'Bullheads'
though. They tasted like mud, which is the enviornment they lived in. That
river never saw a day of clear water, in fact it was named for it's color,
Yellow Creek. As was the other river around that area, Pecatonica, which
in the indian language it was derived from meant; muddy water.

That sounds like a nice setting for relaxing on a hot summer evening.

Heh...my dad was getting up in years and tried to climb a ladder on the
bottom side, rather than walk around the fence to get to it. He had put it
over the fence to get it to lean on his garage to paint the sides, of
course he couldn't do it and fell on his butt. Maybe when he was younger
he could, but at 70+, he wasn't able.

It was always around Xmas time that I'd go visit with my folks. They had
plenty of stuff from the garden in the freezer. I know that when they had
left-overs, mom would put them in old frozen food containers that she
saved from 'frozen dinner nite' when they were both working. She wasn't
much of a cook and dad liked everything burned, so it turned out to be a
happy marriage.
