I've wondered if the long trailers at the mouth might be a delicacy like the
squid tentacles but not sure if that's been discovered yet or if they are just
nasty.  Havent access to enough of them to try it and when I was USA, I didnt
know it might be an idea to try so...

Not good.  We have stuff like that here too.  I have no desire to try puffer
fish (?ugu?) that will kill you fast if they dont cut it just right.  I'll
just have some shrimp please <g>.

Makes sense and eventually you have a dirt driveway.  My place is slightly
'upscale' of that sort of neighborhood but we have familys with several cars
and they use the road-apron (I have a double driveway but most do not).

Ewwh!  I have been blessed with a good tennant and a good rental agent.  I am
sure there is normal wear and tear but they have been faithfully paying their
800-850$ a month for several years now.  Because it was known to be long term,
they replaced the kitchen linolem and livingroom 'wall to wall' carpet with no
problem (though I am not sure what colors to expect when i get back, I gave a
preference and believe the linoleum has a blue background on tan, and the
carpet to he brown/tan).

There was a small flurry of requests in the first 2 years for silly things like
the screen door we replaced 2 days before we left but i asked the rental agent
to tel them we were saving to have the roof redone (which we did in 2 months
after that with a time they could work with and it was just the portion not
done before we left, no need to vacate).  The little stuff stopped once they
knew they were getting a 4 bedroom house in an area where you cant get that
(or cant now) for less than 1200$ a month. We have kept their rent stable. 
Inspections happen every 6 months and while I dont expect 'perfect' (after all
we arent!) there's been just normal wear and tear.

HEB!  Gosh, I reecall them.  The one in San Antonio across the street from my
apartment was ok.  It was better than my local pickings at Clemson SC.

I'm adaptive though.  Folks in the cooking echo can tell you.  I will miss some
stuff from Asia but I can adapt back ok to there or whereever I end up next.

Snicker!  Tell Nancy to stop opening the door!  Due to ovens being rare in
Japan, and briskets being not easy to find, havent tried that in a long time.
I do however know how to take that cheap pork shoulder and turn it into a
fiesta feist. I dont have a smoker but i want to check them out.
