CS> Could be you know more than i there.
Looking at an old nodelist, Marge is actually spelled Marj...probably for
Marjory instead of Margerate. Yes, I remember when that episode
happened...he announced that she had died. Maybe he didn't want anyone to
know that they had split up, if that was the case.
CS> I hope not as I'd like to think she's still well, just sundered from
CS> Joe. She did leave and Joe did move on his life, eventually with
CS> another lady.
CS> Forgive a slight digression but from a lady, accept that Joe is a

I fail to feel the enthusiasim as I'm not attracted to men, especially not
Joe. I know what you mean though, having the same reaction to plenty of
women, although lower in my body. Last I saw Joe, he was a little pudgy,
legs seemed to be a little shakey, wore a patch over one eye and was deaf,
or going deaf.

CS> Well, that is true. I cut my teeth there but only learned about *C

I reviewed what I found in the archived nodelists. Ena Phoenix was listed
as 202/902, which was under the same hub as when I was listed as 909.
Brian Roberts became the 900 hub by the last nodestub in 1995. Dunno what
happened to Gordon Brandt, the previous 900 hub.
In the January, 96 nodelist, Ena was still listed and Joe had taken over
the 911 BBS from the previous sysop.
the February 6, 1996 nodediff.033 shows me being added to the nodelist as
202/909...
I didn't areafix any of the local echoes for quite a while, my only
interest being the CHATTER and AUTORACE echoes. If I recall correctly, I
hi-jacked the AUTORACE echo the following New Years Eve. It was then that
I met Bob Kohl and was recruited for more clandestine operations.

I often wondered how one would gain the experience to do a job if they
were never given the opportunity. I've talked my way into jobs that were
'reportedly' over my head, but only once did I fail at getting it right
the first time. Of course, raiding the boss' mainframe to make my job
easier didn't help much.
CS>> least, if a little oddball (PVT for a time, then borrowed Barry

CS>> Z3C's 'ack'). This time, no matter where I go, I'll know more on

CS> Thats a thought I hadnt travelled. See, seems even though I cant get
CS> a post from Z6 members, they email well. Current hold as posted
CS> before was Lawrence Fan but now got Tarry Roati shifting his domain
CS> to Eddie so I cant do anything til thats also complete. Eddie is
CS> asking back in (still listed).
I'd give them a deadline to get it done and drop them if they fail to
meet it. They'll soon get it done if they disappear.
CS> The most painful part is it looks to all outside like I'm making this
CS> up. Hell no. But I'm 'old style'. I wont pass email addresses out
CS> without permission nor netmail even if it's sent to me. I just cant
CS> wrap my mind to do that.
You're a good gal...
CS> If I cant get a Z6C replacement going by Xmas roughly, I see no way
CS> to maintain other thsan shifting the rest to Z3 because i cant just

That deadline I mentioned above will either start some action or finish
off Z6 like it should be.
CS>>> would but I'd possibly have to describe Ena/Kay to joggle her

RW>> get b to you on that.
CS> Ok thanks! I guess I could just tell him I'm an idiot and ask (heck,
CS> he might be reading here!).
See above...I didn't find a Patrick Long though.

RW>>> I can't stomach Dante, so you'll have to read the book again.
CS>> Drats. It's packed in storage in Virgina someplace among the 4,000
CS>> or so books I have there (at least, I think the long term storage
CS>> was there but they may have moved it someplace other USA).
RW>> Oh well, something to look forward to when you return to VA..
CS> Yeah, and lots of other stuff! 4,000 some odd books (YeahHoo!) and
CS> some cookery stuff.
CS> xxcarol
Most of my library is of a technical nature, maybe 200 books. Nancy has a
few cookbooks, which I use too. I left a bunch of old tech books with the
goodwill when we moved. I did keep a few that were interesting, like the
1906 high school science book that is completely out of line with today's
thinking...in fact some of it is wrong.
