CS> Nope! Origionals are clean too. Truncated somehow on quote I guess.
CS> Not quoted here but QMM flag? Not ringing a bell. Would it be one
CS> of the new ones that Z1 has discussed?

RW> No, I think that flag is quite old. (searching) Yeup, here's a section
RW> nodelist.364 for the year 1994.

<snip>

Ok, got it. One i never used and i guess never noted.

CS> I'm very out of date with such as they discuss it in the Z1C echo
CS> apparently and i do not have that one here.

RW> It's probably never been used in any of your segments.

Nope. XX and XA are the only ones I'm normally used to seeing. A few others I
recall but other than far ago R13C days, havent needed them.

CS> caused a little confusion once when I posted on a thread and it's
CS> easier to not have it than try to remember to 'not post' and
CS> automating that on the sysop level account I use is just too much
CS> hassle for me to bother with.

RW> That's odd. She's allowed other nodes from other zones to post there,
RW> not you? There's really not much going on there, those who got run out
RW> the sysop 'fight echoes' have moved there. Some of them haven't been
RW> posting anywhere else. I even posted there a couple of times, this aft
RW> having my feed cut a long time ago.

(On Z1C). I suspect my little bobble there predates that time. I was possibly
the first 'interloper' back in 2001 or so. Possible if I asked, they'd be
happy to have me but I havent asked.

RW> Well, you can rest assured that QMM is an OLD flag, but seldom used...
RW> my nodelisting doesn't have that one in it, it's got an XX instead.

So I need to compile and it will be there. Ok. It's here, just not added as
of yet.

CS> a couple of hours and they have it all passed around now. Might even
CS> be time to try a poll on that NC fellow? Gather he might be directly
 CS> reachable for you?

RW> Yeah, long distance at 300b...if it worked. I guess I'll have to upgra
RW> Trouble is, there aren't any in this small berg to be had, I'll have t
RW> to SA to get one. I saw a box full of desktop modems where I bought my
RW> laptop, $5 each. There might be a good one in that box...

Grin, you should be able to get one cheap via a web serach if you want. I'd do
that if only to have a backup method. Externals are less trouble BTW in the
long haul and arent ever 'plug-n-play-only' WIN types. USR's play well with
*NIX systems as externals if you want to be able to use it both ways.

CS> Well, happens and no biggie. I was more worried once I had your
CS> email, that someone wasnt set right for Z6.

RW> Hmmmm. Matt said it went through his system to John...I wonder where e
RW> it got to.

Not sure. It was found though and that's all that matters since the address
isnt the same now and nothing related to the old one will pertain to the new
one.

CS> one and held for pickup. All the existing nodes except Lawrence Fan
CS> have a known path to at least hold mail for. If someone netmails
CS> Lawrence, I imagine it would be passed to me and i'd export it over
 CS> to email for him.

RW> You can't list his email?

I do not have his permission to do that. Same thing for many others in Z6.

RW> No filter at fault at Dale's system, he hasn't used NB for 2 or 3 year
RW> now.

There are other things than that software. Some of them much better and much
more aged.

One of them was able to recover the netmail copy. Nuff said there <g>.
