Works for me.  For all you and I come from other places, we have ties we can
see in one another.  Nautical folks live in one another's pockets far too much
to not be such.  When you snore at a decibel level enough that others need
earplugs as you cant do other and are a mere 2ft away, you learn some things
that you just cant put in words (or at least, takes so many you cant do it
here).

Same here.  I have seen no one disagree other than one person who IMHO is
misguided.  For *once* all zones agree.  I may be a little more 'strong' on
this than most, but i think you all understand, living in Japan for 5 years,
that would be pretty natural on my part.

Doing the CPO (Chief's Indoc) I started by telling the new selection group that
I blush alot.  It's just me.  I wont refuse to answer to the best I can, and
will bring up issues that I know are going to make me blush, but for all that
i am simple, I have things to say and willing to learn if I'm just
wrongheaded-stupid.  MOst of the Chief's wont bring up cross-cultural issues
and gloss over them but i'll chime up.  I'll go 'gosh, sorry but help me out
here?  I've noted the following and am I just dumb?...?

Out of however many were in my mess, for 7 years I have always been 'it' for
the main one.  The big thing it to make people 'think' about how their
preconceptions do not match those of the others in the room.  Once you do
that, the volley of words needs only basic tending if it starts to lead to a
fight (bring back to line and ask a simple thing that was central to the issue
but with less emoticon value in expression).

Herman, I really am as simple as a tube sock.  I'm just real and genuine at the
same time. It makes me really good at this sort of teaching but especially
good at working out the details of the individual lessons and pairing 2 Chiefs
to one lesson that can tag-team right.  You dont need skills above figuring
out a tube sock to do that <g>.
