Indeed it doesn't matter. You certainly have not missed that when I mention I
called Bob Seaborn to solve a technical issue, she interpretes that I called an
RC. And when I write a netmail to Brenda Donovan and others she says that I
send netmails to RC's.
 
Therefore, Jeff, when she did what she did ... she did it as a ZC. Can't have
it both ways, you know.

That is so incredibly irrelevant. The FNEWSN39.ZIP archive was created in
Fidonet, released in Fidonet, Janis received it in Fidonet. There was nothing
for her to gate into because it already was there.

Did she announce she would removed that particular Fidonews-issue from
distribution or did she announce she would include a dudfile and re-hatch the
bundle?
 
If the former, she wouldn't have sentout anything at all. The latter did not
occur because nobody caught the dudfile until Mark Lewis discovered the anomaly
after more than a week. When he raised the item nobody could answer the "why"
and "how" question. Then when I was unable to untangle it, suddenly all is OK?

The copyright-game, Jeff, is a mainly American invention. Tom Jennings started
with it and already 10 years ago that balloon was deflated by yours truly.
Americans have played that game for years in a much more serious way than
Michiel has, I have received letters of US attorneys with high sounding titles
in the letterhead-paper about "International copyright law agency" etc ... we
(my attorney and myself) laughed them in the face in 1997 already.
 
We discovered already then this copyright issue was nonsense. Michiel just
demonstrates it again and y'all fail to grasp the message.
 
Tell you what, this is my personal opinion, this is not about copyright at all
... copyright is just the tool to bash Michiel, a fine person whom you have not
had the opportunity to meet in person while I have. There is not a second
person like him if you are in technical or other need (well, perhaps Johan
Zwiekhorst). His only vice is that he always wants to be right, the trouble is
that in many cases he is and will draw the blood from under your fingernails
until you realise he was right.

I don't think so, because Mark Lewis wasn't aware. I wasn't aware, living in
zone-2 the ZC/1 edict does not apply here and shouldn't bother me. Bjorn also
noticed he received the dudfile, he's also zone-2. There are other people in
other zones in the same case.

At best a sharp pen ... and the written word often is more painful than a fist
in the face?
