It is not just a question as to which country has the most people.

Made in China says it all.  But just because a peasant works long
hours in some factory does not make a peasant rich.

Who owns the wealth?  That is the question.  Not who produces the
wealth.  Look at it this way.  What is capital?  Capital is frozen
labor.  Nothing more, nothing less.  By itself, that means nothing.
China has over a billion people.  So does India.  But if that labor
is frozen, it can produce no wealth.  And with no wealth being
produced, who owns what?

Today, much of that labor is becoming unfrozen.  But those who
produce the wealth do not own that wealth.  Actually they do, but
have no means to keep it.

The whole world has gotten fatter.  Not just Americans.  The whole
world has also gotten taller.  Not just Americans.  Just look at how
tall them Chinese have become.  Tall enough to play professional
basketball and compete in the Olympics.  Japanese have also gotten
taller, and have many televisions.  Just like Americans.  Good
baseball players, too.

Europe was a mess following WWII.  A restructuring was needed then
in order for Europe to be able to compete with the rest of the world.
Had it not been for the Marshall Plan and Bretton Woods, Europe would
still be in the dark ages today.  But WWII is past, and the Cold War
is over (although there is a fake war on terror).

As to the Bretton Woods system, there are three parts.  The first
part has been accomplished.  The second part is almost done.  The
third part has yet to be implemented.  And it is that third part
that is now being put in place.

Now let's see how many folks in this forum can figure out what
those three parts are.  :)
