I omitted the USA involvement in WW2 because I know mentioning the US makes
Michiel agitated. My point was, when Germany for all practical intents and
purposes captured and occupied nearly all of Western Europe, the war looked
pretty bleak and unwinnable.

Our airspace was closed because of attacks, not before.

Well, you do know that to not do nothing and something happens is just as bad
as doing something and nothing happens. I think DHS was created to centralize
the assets we have to deal with emergencies that previously were attached to
different agencies. It makes sense to have it centrally coordinated, but
nothing is perfect.

There were still billions of dollars thrown at the event, including Fema Visa
Cards issued to the survivors, which some were used to offset the costs from
sex change operations, see Lofaso.

Yes that was stupid, considering that when events happen abroad we have been
known to throw assets in that direction, we should not consider ourselves
beyond the need for assistance when mother nature or man wreaks their fury.

You know something I wish our Navy would be ordered to do, with the assistance
of the European Navies, is to immediately sail to and blockade the Somali Coast
to protect the shipping lanes from the Pirates, with orders to shoot and kill
them. Or at least send Michiel over there to talk them to death.

We didnt sit around talking about it, we at least are trying to deal with it by
asserting in the terrorists minds that their actions wont get responded to.
