All the more reason to spend more on police protection.  Putting
more police on the street means less crime.  Less crime means fewer
people getting killed.  See how that works?  But all that costs
money.  And that means raising taxes.  Something Republicans are
averse to doing.

And how many innocent men, women and children would also die in that
hail of gunfire?  Quite a lot, by the looks of it.  Better to let the
cops do the law enforcement.  More people would live to see another

First of all, it was stupid for the store owner to confront the
robbers with a weapon.  Also, the Brady bill would not have kept
him from acquiring a handgun.  He simply would have had to wait
a few days (three days) before actually getting it.  Videos can
be deceiving, so there is no way of knowing exactly how far apart
the robbers and the store owner were from each other, but that
really is not the issue.

Walk into a fast-food restaurant with a loaded gun and you'd most
likely get yourself shot.  By the cops.
