Er, John?  Yes, we do.  We break it, we own it.  Colin Powell said
that.  He's a general.  Do you know who he said those words to?  That
is what he told President George W. Bush in regards to invading Iraq.
General Powell was Bush's Secretary of State at the time.

Peter Sellers heard the call, many years ago, starring
in "The Mouse That Roared" - a movie based on the novel
of the same name.  Although "The Mouse That Roared" was
a work of fiction, it is no fiction that losers of wars
have been often been the beneficiaries.

We give to our enemies so they will love us -

We kicked Nazi Germany's butt.  Then we rebuilt Germany.
Today, Germans love us, and sell us everything.  Especially
nice fancy cars, such as Mercedes-Benz (which now owns GM).

We kicked Fascist Italy's butt.  Then we rebuilt Italy.
Today, Italians love us, and sell us everything.  Especially
cute and adorable little cars, such as Fiat (which now owns
Chrysler).

We kicked the Empire of Japan's butt.  Then we rebuilt Japan.
Today, Japanese love us, and sell us everything.  Especially
unbreakable cars, such as Toyota (which now owns Ford).

See how that works?  Yesterday's enemies are now our friends.
They love us to death.  Instead of making war, we should make love.
Make love to our enemies.  Lots more fun that anything else one can
think of.  Want to get rid of that madman in Libya?  Kick Libya's
butt, then rebuild Libya.  Libyans will love us!  And sell us
cars that are fancy, cute, and unbreakable.

Yes, the white flag principle is the way to go!  Just raise the
white flag and the world will be yours!  Conquer by surrender! Worked
for Germany (until Germans quit making babies).  Worked for Italy (until
Italians quit making babies).  Worked for Japan (until Japanese quit
making babies).

But not to worry.  The Russians also quit making babies.  Along
with the Chinese.  And just about everybody else.  I guess folks
just simply got tired of ... no ... that is not possible ... is
it?
