Well, ask any South Korean living near the border, if you don't believe me.
Both the Korean nations now are in paranoiac clinch (that's why a war between
them is very probable event), and they are looking at each other through sights
of weapon of every kind, feverishly looking for saboteurs, spies, etc. I assure
you, that it is the most dangerous border in the world for crossing from both
sides. But anyway, a person who tries to cross it from the side of South Korea
would be killed on his side. ;-)

I can only repeat that the Soviet troops were also invited by the governments
of eastern European countries. Their presence was as legal as have been the
presence of the American occupation forces in Germany after WW2. The same I can
say about American bases in Japan. The Japanese people would be happy _to kick
out_ the Americans from Okinawa, for instance, but they can't.

No. The power in the countries of the Warsaw Pact was in hands of people who
believed in communism. Don't say, for example, that citizens of
pre-revolutionary Russia had no choice in accepting of communism either. The
situation was the same -- majority of population hardly made both ends meet and
few sons of beach swam in luxury. That's why the majority of population had
accepted communism and fought for it.

Once again: the USSR did not capture the Poland territories in 1940. You can
_easily_ find the map of Russia before 1918. You will see that Poland existed
as a distinct area within Russia, and the EASTERN border of that area was
located near the Russian city of Brest - the city that had become the USSR
border town after 1940 (it met Hitler's 1941 strike first). Check it
independently, don't retell rumors. You'll  see that the USSR in 1940
recaptured only those territories that was occupied by Poland in 1918, when
Russia had been weakened by the revolution.

Also remember, that Polandl, BTW, participated in Munich deal. Fascist Germany
was not the only country who dismembered Czechoslovakia. Poland shamelessly got
a good chunk of Czechoslovakia territory too. Don't ask the Polish people, but,
better, read about Munich deal yourself, for instance in the Encarta
Encyclopedia.

Its difficult to count for sure. In Vietnam the Americans preferred Napalm. ;)

It's not true.  There was no one culprit to blame -- it is nonsense to say such
a thing. Russian people killed each other themselves.

But the main culprits can be named.  BTW, it is America and Europe. The capital
there feared that revolutions could happen there too. So, they put the USSR in
an isolated corner, and when any country lives in such an isolation and
tension, paranoia and blood are a inevitable consequence.

Continuing this thought, is a good place to say that the repressions in the
North Korea now are caused not by ideological reasons either. They have been
caused by the same reasons that worked in the USSR in 1936-1940 -- the years of
repressions, when people did not do anything against the regime, but were
repressed as political criminals.
