TR> leftist democrats fought for many years ago and finally GOT. Taking a
TR> `pill' to prevent pregnancy no more causes `death', than having a
TR> `burglar alarm to prevent burglaries'..is what put burglars in prison!
BM>Nope... that statement is very accurate. Need proof, if you go to the AMA,
BM>research birth control pills and see they affect the walls of the uterus
BM>to stop inplantation of fertilized eggs.
TR> I wasn't gonna bother with this...but I had a few spare moments.....
It's not like you had to do alot... all you did was go to webmd.com and copy
and paste YOUR supposed thoughts. Just like Roy, a plagerizer. For those
who'd like to read the entire article, here is the url:
http://www.webmd.com/sex/birth-control/birth-control-pills
TR> Normally a woman becomes pregnant when an egg released from her ovary
TR> is fertilized by a males' sperm.
TR> The egg then attaches to the inside of her uterus, and developes into a
TR> baby.
TR> Hormones in the woman control the release of the egg (ovulation) and
TR> prepare the body to recieve the fertilized egg.
TR> Hormonal contraceptives (the pill) contain a small amount of man-made
TR> estrogen and progestin hormones. And these hormones inhibit the body's
TR> natural cyclical hormones to prevent pregnancy. Pregnancy
TR> prevented...no *abortion* involved. Another of the things this hormonal
TR> contraceptive (the pill) does is to stop the body from ovulating. No
TR> ovulation ...no pregnancy. No *abortion* involved.
TR> Hormonal contraceptives (the pill) can also change the cirvical mucus
TR> in such a way as to make it difficult for the sperm to find an egg. No
TR> egg found by the sperm, no pregnancy. No *abortion* involved. Also,
TR> hormonal contraceptives (the pill) can prevent pregnancy by making the
TR> lining of the womb inhospitable for implantation. No implantation, no
TR> pregnancy. No *abortion* involved.
TR> There may be a new option for hormonal contraception, called
TR> `extended-cycle use. This contains the same hormones as other birth
TR> control pills, but are taken in a longer cycle intended to reduce the
TR> number of yearly menstrual periods a woman has from 13 down to 4. But,
TR> again...no *abortion* involved.
Now, let's all make heads and tails of Timmy's little plageristic statements.
I agree with ALL of what was said but the fact still remains, fertilization can
happen while a woman is taking the pill. From the same webmd.com site:
http://answers.webmd.com/answers/1189739/can-you-get-pregnant-while-on
TR> Now...let me straighten you out on something.
TR> Your lame attempt to make me out as an *abortionist* because I issue
TR> physician-prescribed birth control pills to women patients isn't just
TR> absurd, it borders on the stupid.
It may seem stupid to you due to the fact you got caught that the pill can
cause a fertilized egg from implanting itself in the womb, thus termination of
a pregnancy.
From Roy's favorite site...
Abortion is the termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the
uterus of a fetus or embryo before viability.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion
TR> For many years in the past, the leftists (especially the women) in Fido
TR> who were adamant supporters of a woman's right to have abortions, were
TR> loud and lengthy in their self-satisfied claims that, in the first two
TR> or three months of a pregnancy, we are dealing not with a `human
TR> being'...but nothing more than a `pologlot'! Nothing more sentient than
TR> an `amoeba'! An `invasion' by a glob of worthless bio-matter in the
TR> woman's womb, which she has the right to evict, as her womb is her
TR> `personal property'! (After all....she has RIGHTS!)
Am I them? Did I say that? You have no idea of my stance when it comes to
abortion. You just spew nonsensical hatred of liberals because of your
bigotry-laced mind tells you to. If you would comprehend what I've posted over
the past week to you then maybe, just maybe a light will shine. I maybe asking
the impossible, but it's worth a shot.
TR> So...your lame attempt to make me out `an abortionist-by-extension'
TR> falls into the catagory of ridiculous.
Proof proves a different outcome than what you believe is true.
TR> Although I'm sure there is a segment of the population who would jump
TR> on your silly notion and run with it, for no other reason than to `get
TR> over on' someone they detest...my guess is nobody with an IQ higher
TR> than two digits would consider your assertion valid.
Funny, the American Medical Association and all the doctors on the site you
plagerized seem to agree with me that fertilization can occur while a woman
takes the pill.
TR> I'd also like to point something else out to you....
So far you've not pointed out anything to me other than your lack of knowledge.
TR> In all the exchanges we've had on a variety of subjects, I've gone out
TR> of my way to try to avoid throwing insults, or vile names at you. I've
TR> also avoided making false accusations, or falsely painting you with any
TR> `broad brushes'.
I've only spoke the truth of you. You've administered pills that can cause a
fertilized egg from implating itself into the mother's womb, therefore, by
definition, it is expuled. Read above Tim...
TR> I've simply stated my facts and figures to you as I find them, after
TR> I've checked them for as great a degree of accuracy as I can, and
TR> allowed you to form your own impressions and opinions on them.
All you did was plagerize webmd.com without giving them credit.
TR> I've tried to keep the exchange on the level of a `discussion', and not
TR> let it fall into what could be called a `flame-war'. I'm sorry you
TR> aren't capable of doing the same.
More straw... I've not flamed you other than calling a spade a spade.
TR> Recently, I saw a message from Ross Cassell in which he expressed
TR> regret at allowing certain persons to post in this echo. My name was
TR> one of those he mentioned.
TR> I probably shouldn't do this, but I have to point out that its funny
TR> how dis- agreeing with others on certain subjects (like abortion,
TR> homosexual marriage ....a few others) gets classified as `ranting'...or
TR> `bombast'. But supporting things like the degradation of the
TR> time-proven institution of marriage between a male and female, valid
TR> since the days of Adam and Eve....or doing surgical procedures that
TR> result in the product illistrated in the photos coming out of the
TR> Gosnell abortion clinic...is considered on-topic discussion!
You can post here all you want. I don't have issue with that. Where I, and
others, have issue is when you've been proven wrong on a subject you constantly
regurgitate your nonsense over and over and expect the results to change. That,
my dear friend is what Einstein called, Insanity. Proven fact, fertilization
can occur while a woman is on the pill. Fact, the pill makes the uterus
inhospitable for the fertilized egg to attach itself. Fact, no attachment, then
expulsion occurs. By definition, if the expulsion of a fertilized egg occurs,
it's an abortion. fact, you were giving metally handicapped women birth control
pills. Fact, knowing the result of the pills could have been expulsion of a
fertilized egg thus by definition, an abortion, you continued going against
your morals due to financial reasonings as YOU stated. Otherwise, you're now
known as a hypocrite.
Taken from Dictionary.com:
Hypocrite <noun> a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious
beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially
a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
Shoe fit there Tim?
Maybe I should just let you go on spewing and when no one pays you any mind,
you'll get the hint.
Adios Tim.... your strawman has officially burnt and is sitting in a pile of
ashes.
