       Oh Come on, all you need is some Uranium, something to split the 
      atoms with, a little electricity, a whacked out mind, something
      to put it in, a rocket propellsion system.... I didn't say I
      had to build it all by myself... I could have my neighbor's 
      help me out.... (at this point, Marc Lewis in Alabama is now
      bighting his finger nails, preparing to move to Alaska....
      hoping it's true he's not going to be responsible for this...)
      
      O.k. So suppose I was to write you a letter stating that I was
      getting tired of my neighbor's dogs knocking over the trash. 
      Rather than take it out on the neighbors, I planned to just 
      kill the neighbor and list his dogs for sale.  The message
      to you got routed through several NC's, RC's, etc and a few
      ZC's even! If you saw on the news that they was looking for
      the killer of a guy in Bogue Chitto, MS, who was mysterously
      killed in the exact same mannor that I described to you, and
      you decided you best call the police and tell them you might
      have evidence leading to the crime.... Then, I ask you....
      Anyone that routed the mail through the system that read the
      message before it got sent out to the next station... Where
      they liable for not reporting the crime?  Granted, in these
      days, the mail goes out immediately, so the chances of a sysop
      reading the mail as it goes through the system... Not likely.

      Here's another example... I route all my net-mail through your
      system.  You decide to go to a super holier than thow church,
      and the folks there talk you into not only censoring your mail,
      but any mail anywhere on your system!  But, you fail to look at
      the configuration in detail and there's a few replacement items
      you didn't count on...  It seems the author had a sense of humor.
      

        So I write a friend across the country a letter.  It goes something
like this:


        Hey Greg,
           Today my wife baked a delicious cake!  I can't believe how good
        it tasted!  She got paid from work today, so we're going to celebrate.

But instead, your system politely replaced certain words and when my friend
reads it, he sees:

        Hey Greg,
           Today my husband baked a horrible cake!  I can't believe how
terrible it tasted!  He got hit on from work today, so we're going to
celebrate.


          Hmmmm, could I then sue you for making me look like a really weird
         gay idiot that's married to a guy who is so ugly that he's really
         happy to have anyone flirting with him?
