Ärende: Climate vs. weather
===========================
On 06-16-14, BJöRN FELTEN said to TIM RICHARDSON:
TR> And we are to just remain silent....watch our money get poured down a
TR> bottomless sinkhole in pursuit of a `green energy' scam, keep our mouth
TR> shut.
BF>Why not?
Well....there are many real good reasons. But here's one of them:
Al Gore is out with a new screed to boster his money-making `global
warming' scam.
In `The Rolling Stone' magazine (which used to a magazine about rock
'n roll stars, but has since turned political. And now it seems Al
Gore can't get much ordinary media to listen, so he turns to a rock
`n roll magazine-turned political for publicity), Gore's out with
his usual screed about `the struggle to solve the climate crisis'!
First of all....there AIN'T no `crisis'! The only thing `man-made'
about this so-called `crisis' is; its `Man-madeup'!
He's on about how much `cheaper' electricity from solar cells is, but
deliberately ignores that government is artifically causing the price
of electricity to INFLATE by regulating coal-powered electricity
generating stations out of existence.
Also....what Gore isn't telling anyone is how much money he stands to
make from solar panels.
As for wind farms....imagine scenic landscapes obscured by unsightly
`wind' generators (as is already the case in California), not to
mention the deaths of many important bird species (the animal and
bird lovers of the nation are strangely silent on this one. They
do an armed stand-off with a private citizen over a turtle! But
when it is shown that these so-called `benificial' wind generators
kill America's symbol of freedom and strength, the Bals Eagle..
cue the crickets!), and ignore the nuclear power plants that have
been generating electricity for decades, now.
Actually, nuclear power is the in-expensive source of electricity.
Although Gore and his group of money-makers would say different.
We're taslking about a guy who predicted `the ice will be gone in 5,
10, 15 years! Here it is 5....10,,,15 years later, and not only is
the ice still here....its snowing in June!
By the way....you don't hear much about that hybrid car, the Fisker,
that was backed by Al Gore....financed by the U.S. government (make
that read `the taxpayers') to the tune of (cue the trumphets!) $528
MILLION dollars!
Lets do a check on that....
That loan, by the way, followed a $465 MILLION dollar loan to a car
outfit called `Tesla'.
Lets see...the `Fisker' was supposed to be made in Finland (not a
single job for Americans created with THAT lay-out of American
taxpayer's money!
And the Tesla'? .....haven't seen a lot of those either!
These `loans' were made back sometime in 2009, back when this U.S.
president swept into office the first time...borne on the shoulders
of low-information mental midgets. And those reports of the amount
paid back? .....someone que the crickets!
Here's the reason given for the Fisker loan (I am not kidding with
this):
`Fisker was awarded the loan after a "detailed technical review"
that concluded the company could eventually (*eventually*, mind
you!)deliver a highly fuel-effecient hybrid car to a mass
audience!'
WOW! A couple of things;
First....they do not say *who* performed this "detailed technical
review". If it was anyone from the Hussein Obama administration,
just going by the `Fast&Furious' administration-owned action; the
`healthcare overhaul' administration-owned action; the `Benghazi'
debacle that cost the lives of an ambassador and some other
Americans, which is ALSO administration-owned, not to mention
the back-rooom trade of four of the worst mass-murderers in the
world, for a traitorous piece of dog dirt who deserted his post,
his comrades-in-arms, and his country, which is ALSO owned by
this administration....I gotta tell you I (and I imagine a lot
of others) have no confidence in it.
Secondly...that "...could eventually...." part leaves a lot to
be desired, too!
I'd want *my* money to get `loaned' out on a lot stronger ground
than...an `un-named' outfit doing `detailed technical reviews',
and a speculation of `eventually'.
Not good grounds for dumping taxpayer's money into it, either.
See what I was saying about politicians doing whatever the hell
they want with our money? We are FORCED to pay the taxes...they
throw the money out the window on frivolous notions they can use
to pump us for even more money.
Oh by the way....the Tesla will come in a couple of different
flavors;
One will be a $109,000 British built electric Roadster. Tell me
how many ordinary Brits can afford to lay out $109,000?
The other was gonna be built in California, be all electric,
be a family-sized sedan selling for $40,000! Are you kidding
me? What family with both husband and wife working, with two
kids, a mortgage, and paying for `obamacare'...can afford
$40,000 for a family car?
Nobody'll be eating!
But....here's one big problem with `electric' cars:
See the word `electric'?
That means (or at least implies) that they run on `electricity'.
Where do ordinary citizens get `electricity'? They get it from
their house current. Which means they get to plug their `electric'
car into their house current while it sits in their garage or
driveway.
And one single charge only lets the car go just so far.(I'm
thinking of buying an electric scouter to use to go to my
mailbox, because its getting harder for me to walk that
distance, but it only gets about 30 miles per charge, so I
wouldn't be able to go to the nearest store to buy ice more
than once!), so....if it gets say....60 to 80 mile per
charge....its gonna spend a lot of time on a charger. And
at today's electric prices.....its not worth it!
THEN.....here comes the (trumphet blare) taDAAAA! `the Karma'!
Supposedly, the $97,000 Karma was supposed to roll out, funded
in part with this huge loan that came out of the taxpayers'
pocket! A total of *40* of them rolled off the assembly line,
TWO were delivered to actual customers (one of whom was Leonardo
DeCaprio the actor!) and hasn't been seen or heard from since!
By the way....I see the Tesla literature making all sorts of
`claims' as to its mileage; as much as 306 on a single charge
is the claim.
I get that and more in my Lincoln Towncar!
Now....I gotta point out something real important here: you see
a lot of Lincoln Towncars....but you don't see a lot of Tesla's.
I wonder why that is?
And sale figures?
Well....seems there's a media `black-out' on Tesla sales. Although I
was able to determine they had sold 1600 of their product in the
month of March! Seriously? Ford sells THAT many vehicles in a DAY!
For the first quarter...there were 3.75 million vehicles sold.
Tesla sold 4,700 cars in that period!
Gee....
In fact, when `doing the numbers' in percentage of market? Tesla
has numbers so tiny in the overall picture, they actually
disappear! They are so low they don't even matter!
Here's some specs for a 2013 Tesla:
The Tesla Model S (this was 2013 model) runs around $70,000! Sell
THAT to a family of four!
It gets around 200 miles of range. Another model gets around 265 miles
to a charge.
I get over 300 miles on a tank of fuel in my Lincoln, I
average just over 20 miles per gallon, and that 300+miles is on about
14.5. to 15.5 gallons of gas.
But....the `science is all settled', right? So....I'll just go back
to sleep....the science is settled....the science is settled...the
sciezzzzzZZZZZZ.....zzzzzzzZZZZZZ.....zzzzzzzzzZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
