Let me see if I can get a little closer to it for you...


According to (heh heh heh) `consensus'.....97% of climate scientists
are on board with the notion that `global warming' is caused by Man.


And according to some guy named John Cook of the University of Queensland
Australia. in a report he wrote.


So....that's settled! Indisptable!


But....why the endless efforts to not just disagree with any opinions that
`oppose' that claimed figure of `concensus'...that 97%? Why does anyone
who raises any objections whatever get either shouted down, or their
material contrary to what the `warmists' espouse is either refused
publication, or what DOES get published gets *re*-written (at least by
Wikipedia)?


Have you ever wondered that? Has it even occured to you?


A good example of that exists right here in this very echo. I have
at various times attempted to have a calm, normal-toned discussion
on the subject, and I only get insults, put-downs, and bombast in
return.


What's that?


And speaking of Queensland....that university is taking legal action!
(LEGAL action, mind you), to block the release of the data one of its
scientists used to arrive at that 97% claim!


Really? trying to hide where that figure came from? How it was arrived
at?


Because....see....if that figure WERE real....you would think that at
the first sign of objection that `questioned' that figure...more than
half the scientists in the world would have popped up with `confirmation'
of it by now, wouldn't you? They haven't!


Actually, the word is somebody got hold of that data, and far from any
`confirmation'....the data actually shows that there isn't any such
`concensus' up in the 97% range. It in fact shows that many scientists
are still quite skeptical! And the university is fighting to keep that
from coming out!

3 millionths of a meter?


So....in ...what? 300,000 years the ocean levels will be one meter
higher than today? Do you really think either one of us will have
any family alive to worry about then?


Did you know that a serous effort is underway to indoctrinate school
children into the `global warming' thing? There is. Just like back in
the days of prohibition, when an attempt was made to indoctrinate kids
against alchohol and those who drink it...


Many times in past ages ice on both poles of the globe has come and
gone. The story is told in both tree rings and rocks. Long before Man
was even around to `keep records'.

Yes it is. And of course, those engaged in it don't do it `voluntarily'.


They have themselves and family to feed, car payments to make, mortgages
to keep up....they're just like everybody else. They have to make a
living to survive.

I didn't `forgot to mention'. But...the more `positive' results someone
in `global warming' research obtains....the longer those funds keep coming
in, don't they? And of course....the research takes yearrrrrs. doesn't it?


So many, in fact, that people make whole careers from it.


Do you think people spend many years associated with a university and
don't get paid? They graduate from some college in a scientific discipline
and spend years at a university teaching and conducting research for free?
Its all voluntary? And the banks and car dealers...dentists...doctors...
grocery stores...gas stations....etc etc....they all `cooperate' and go
along with it, right? they just get mortgages, vehicles,,,dental work
...medical care...gasoline...they get all that for free? It free to
them because they `are on faculty at `the university' doing `research',
right?


*You* also seem to be `forgetting' to take into account the East Anglia
e-mails that Jones and his group were so anxious to suppress tho avoid
the British version of our FOIA.


Why? If the `science' is so `settled'....why the extreme effort to keep
critical data from everybody?


If the science is so valid...it would stand up to ANY criticism. There'd
be no reason to refuse to release data in a court case, like Mann did.


If there isn't anything wrong...why the refusal by so many advocates of
it to make their data public?


That alone should make anyone who's multi-millions of tax money is being
poured out on this, suspicious as hell.


Its a scam. Unfortunately, even when it is exposed for all time as the
scam it is....it will be years before things ever get back to normal.


What has already been put into motion will take a long time to halt.


It will cost a lot more before it ends. We've been cheated by a tight
knit group of academics, aided and abetted by politicians who think
they know what's best for everybody else.
