What is privilege?  I made no request to be born.  And yet I was.
I made no request to be a citizen.  And yet I am.  If something is
not asked, how can it be privilege?

I did not choose life.  Life chose me.  Likewise, I did not choose
citizenship.  And many other things.

Thomas Jefferson wrote "All men are created equal."
And he was right about that.  However, once created
some had a great fall ...

Thomas Jefferson had to obtain more and more slaves to grow his tobacco
fields in order to pay for the upkeep and maintenance of his Monticello
home.  His influence continues to be felt today as the Hastings family
reunion continues to gather in honor of their beloved white ancestor ....
