heh. Interesting story. I was raised as-if a mormon myself, my parents chose
that fate for me, however, I never really.. enjoyed going, not really. The one
thing I did like, however, was the Boy Scouts program they had. Yes, as far as
their BSA program, definitely well accounted for. I went all the way through
and got my Eagle from that, and though it doesn't really honestly do me all
that much good (I think anyway), I could probably live on a desert island and
survive for a few years if I /had/ to. LOL

I am not Mormon, and I rejected the church when my time of age came that I had
that say-so, finally. hehe. 

One thing though that creeps me out about mormons is.. I moved. I moved states
away from where I was born and raised. From Texas to Florida anyway. One day in
my humble abode, mormons came up to my door knocking, and asked for me by my
full first and last name. I scratched my head, and the first thing I asked them
bluntly and outright is: How, and why did are you specifically here asking for
me when I have rejected the church, provided no contact information, insisted
that no contact be made for any reason?

They were confused, but basically their only answer was:

Them: Well, the mormons have a way of finding people's address I guess.
Me: I am not Mormon.
Them: Well, what church do you go to?
Me: My "church" is out in the nature itself. My faith is in Druidism.
Them: *shocked faces* I.. I see. We..Well, sorry to have bothered you then. Can
I leave you this.... *they're holding out a book of mormon and bible, and I cut
them off*
Me: No.
Them: O..Okay. Well, have a nice day!
Me: You too!

Hehe. Was the first time I ever stumped mormons visiting my house directly.
But, for them to look up my personal information and track me down, that's
pretty damned creepy in my book. They never were provided that, and my family
(well, parents specifically since they're the only mormons), never provided any
details because they knew not to, and knew I had no interest in them.

I have, not in my own family specifically, seen the dynamic common of an LDS
family household, and yeah, it's... Definitely fairly different, most
specifically in the family's where they strongly preach the ways of the church
heavily, and have comfortable to rich money and lots of kids. heh

Thought I'd share that little interesting story.
