Is it true?  Is it really true?  Or is it just the figment
of somebody's wild and overactive imagination?  You tell me -

You know...I've been following a conversation line in another
echo that deals with `censorship' of a sort. This so-called
`filtering' of certain people's posts or...`clean feed' that
doesn't contain certain people's messages.

And some of the very people who appear to be FOR such a form
of `censorship' (and `censorship' is exactly what it is) are out
there claiming they don't really `want' such a thing for Fido.

A case in point this morning:

"I agree. I would much prefer that the use of a "filtered" feed
not be used as IMHO t serves as n example of what shouldn't be
done in Fido." ..... Jeff Smith

That's a strange opinion in light of the fact that there IS censorship
being used in Fido to prevent me from posting in various echoes...NOT
because I have posted vile insults, curses, or false accusations at one
or more users in those echoes...but only for the reason that certain
people do not like WHAT I post; the OPINIONS I hold to. I am `censored'
for not falling into line with a so-called `scientific' consensus that
is beginning to be exposed for exactly what I've said it was all along;
a hoax!

I haven't cussed anyone out over it, or called anyone vile names over
it, yet the same cannot be said for many who've delighted in my being
censored from certain echoes.

My point is....the objections of various people in other echoes over
`filtered feeds' eliminating the posts of certain posters takes on the
mantle of hypocrisy when you consider I am `censored' and for no other
reason than my opposition to the idiocy of the `climate' con game being
forced on us by leftists who see it as a way to extort money from
taxpayers.

Just thought I'd point this out.

Tim Richardson claims he is being singled out, denied access to
certain fidonet echoes (including the Fidonews echo).  That is
censorship, regardless of whatever other name others might want
to call it.

Tim Richardson is posting messages from C.G. Learn's system.
Why is Tim Richardson being denied read/write access to this
echo?  The editor/moderator of the Fidonews (Björn Felten)
has publicly stated, including in the monthly rules posting,
that ALL who are interested in reading and writing in this
forum are welcome to do so.

The word ALL includes TIM RICHARDSON!

I find it very difficult to believe that Björn Felten is a liar.
When he posted the news informing us about the death of his wife,
I believe he was telling us the truth.  When he posted about how
he felt after losing his wife, I believe he was telling the truth.
When he posted random thoughts about chucking it all, I believe
he was telling the truth.  So why would he decide to lie about
Tim Richardson, or anybody else?

I am not pointing fingers at anybody.

Tim Richardson made a claim.  Either that claim has merit,
or it does not have any merit at all.  If he is being censored,
those who are doing the censoring know who they are.

Three possibilities to consider -

Possibility #1 -

Tim Richardson is not being censored, has full read/write
access to the Fidonews echo, as he is presently posting messages
from C.G. Learn's system.

If that was true, then why is Tim Richardson making the claim
that he is being censored?  As such, this possibility should be
dismissed.  Unless you want to call Tim Richardson a liar.

Possibility #2 -

Tim Richardson is being censored, does not have full read/write
access to the Fidonews echo, and perhaps no access at all.

This seems to be the most likely possibility, given his apparent
inability to post messages in this forum from C.G. Learn's system.
Then the question becomes who is responsible for this heinous act
of censorship?  And who will be held accountable?

Of course, we all know the answer to that one.  Nobody will
ever accept responsibility, or be held accountable for their
despicable acts of censorship!

Wha'?  You think Tim Richardson is lying???  How dare anybody
suggest such a thing!  Tim Richardson may be many things, but he
is no liar!  Misguided, yes.  But a liar?  Never!

Possibility #3 -

Tim Richardson is not being censored, and knowingly has full
read/write access to the Fidonews echo, but chooses of his own
volition not to post messages in the Fidonews echo so as to
create the illusion of being censored.

Nah.  Nobody is that smart.  Or demented.  Not even me.
And I, for one, will never call Tim smart, demented, or
god forbid both smart *and* demented!
