That's because lower IQ people are producing more childeren than
higher ones.

Finally that's one of the reasons for that stupid Brexit ;-(.

Not the nodenumber giving is the problem, but (s)he who gives such
idiots access to EchoMail, and expecially without a good course and
learning curve about configuring mailer-, mailtosser-, mailscanner-
and BBS-software.

And if that newbe does not correct wrong settings, (s)he should be
disconnected.
That's pure technical, nothing political.
In practise it is hardly to reduce dupes to zero, but everyone has
to try to lower that as much as possible.
So, please keep on advertising to stop SEENBY filtering between
FidoNet zones.

Some time ago I got dupes because of a zip error during unpacking.
The next toss time, some msg's were seen as dupes.
So reading logfiles is important, before crying to the linked party.
Reasonable people will learn such things.
And if it is not understand, some has to explain that behavior clearly
to avoid problems in future.
Calling something wrong does not work, explaining it does.

There are no zones in FidoNet.  Only hallucinations some call zones.
There is no difference between a straight line and a round circle in
1D.  Not even sure if there can be a line at all in that dimension,
much less a shape of any kind.  Hence the need for points.  Points
within the line of a circle.  That might work.  Or not.  But at least
that way a path might be able to be found, which would be a start.

It takes two to tango, three to make a crowd.  Hence the need for
crowdsourcing, or orgies in plainspeak.  And then, once all our
chirren have grown up to be cowboys, we can all repopulate FidoNet
to what it was truly intended to be.

Londoners forgot how to make cowboys, so they have only themselves
to blame.  But now that real cowboys in the UK have given them the
tools for redemption, they can now go about performing the duties
they were always meant to do.  So.  Do your duties, guys!  Give the
wimmen what they want!  You'll be glad you did!

Why should anybody be dependent on somebody else to give them
a nodenumber?  Nodenumbers should be free for anybody to grab,
no matter who they are or where they are from.  And if none can
be found, they can and should be created.  Nobody should have
a monopoly on nodenumbers, or be allowed to have such a
monopoly.  Not any individual or group of individuals.  Access
to FidoNet should be a *right* and not a privilege, a *right*
for *all* and not a select few!

Who gets to decide who is and who is not competent to run a system?
That is most definitely a *political* decision, not technical.
Shame on any sysop who tells you otherwise!

Reducing traffic to as low as possible would mean no traffic
at all.  In other words, kill FidoNet.  Kill the goose that lays
the golden eggs.  Wouldn't that be great?  The perfect solution
for making the perfect omelet.  Somebody please tell the chef
you have to break the egg to make an omelet.

None of us are perfect.  We all make mistakes.  And that is how
we learn.  Some of us are smarter than others, learning from others'
mistakes, rather than making those same mistakes themselves.  But
the asshole who never admits to making mistakes himself/herself is
the biggest asshole of them all.
