I don't. I know what is available through my links. That is all I need to know.

No it does not. It does not say there MUST  be an echolist.

Policy is almost three decades old. Fidonet has changed a lot and most of P4
makes no sense any more in today's Fidonet. We can not change Policy, so we
just ignore the parts that no longer apply.

Then you have an odd way of going about.

You have been away from Fidonet fro a long time. You apparently have no idea
what happened in the last 15 years. You have missed that we no longer have (and
need) an IC. You have missed that attempts at changing policy have failed
miserably. You seem to think that moderators still have some power and can
enforce rules. You have missed the Fidonews coup and the emergence of the
Fidoweb as a result. You have missed all that. Your perception of what Fidonet
is like, is at least 15 years old. You have no idea how it functions today.

And yet, a couple of month ago, you re-emerge from nowhere. You come storming
in like a bull in a china shop, telling us you will "fix things". That Allen,
is not a good recipe to win a popularity contest.

If you do not wat to be my enemy then drop this missionary attitude. Right now
you are the same pain in the ass as Joehava's wittnesses banging at my door
attempting to convert me to their religeon. They at least have the decency to
go away when I tell them I am not interested in becoming a member of their
sect. They do not ask me to make them understand why I do not want to join
them. They just go away.

But you won't go away. You keep trying to convert me to that "echolist sect" of
yours. I will tell you one more time. The echolist concept deos not work for
us. We dropped it twenty years ago because the pros did not outweigh the cons. 
We do not want to turn back the clock, We do not need an echolist, we do not
want an echolist.

If you do not understand it, bad luck for you. I have no need for you to
understand it, I just want you to drop it. I do not want to be converted.

If you do not want to be my enemy, drop it.
