Dunno, but he credits a grunch of folks. The coda says it's an update of a
1997 doc with a different name and serial number 6 so it's been around along
time. I'm guessing I saw something like this, back in 1995 but not sure. So
anyways, my apologies for thinking this was an authorized zone policy. He
even credits you which is why I was wierded out a little when you indicated
you didnt have such a thing. I guess he stuck your name on it and never told
you?

It would be interesting if we credited this one when the 5000 series was
updated to add the modem redundancy codes now in effect in all zones, but
codified here <g>.

 > Never seen this document... It's never been an issue ...

It's not really an issue. Unless it says something you don't want in there.
You have a copy now or need one?

True. Last time I voted, I left a few blank (abstain) just because I didnt
know them at all. (I also abstained on all, even myself in the R13 vote
collection Mike Luko is collecting).

And thats fine. I think I even saw a 'no' on me but am not at all upset, nor
did i track who did it. I also know if I were to be a ZC of other than a
situation like Z6 at the time (small, barely active by then but trying and no
one else with a phone line in the zone), I'd resign right away from FTSC.

RC might be different. Large zone ZC, nope. IC, well glad Malcolm isnt on
it as that would not be 'good'. I dont however see any reason why any ZC
cant submit a proposal though. Anyone can do that. So, you can fix that
above one if it's messed up <g>. You don't need anyone at the FTSC to do it.

 > At least some people this time are entering blank and "NO" votes.

Yup!

Thats ok! Fred is cool folks. Known him on the sideline for ages. Not a
political fellow. Fine coder from all reports.

Understood! He's gotten frustrated but I see the same from others. Me,
well, I've spent too much time looking at how others operate to be very
hardline. I've seen too many other patterns work well in the right setting.

Percentage wise Z6 was the largest ION offender (hidden ION's too!) but it
didnt fail over that, but lack of leadership at critical junctions and
language barriers. And sadly, death of last Thailand node in the 2004
Tsnunami. (washed out to sea with his son they believe). Our second most
common language in common after english? Russian ;-) Z6 comms? Due to code
page issues, largely email. Fidonet never did do japanese or Chinese and
thai? Lets not even think that one!
