Here is some stories of true "shake-your-head-in-amazement-of-how-dumb-
some-folks-can-be":

A friend of mine fixed me up with this guy to double date with her and
her boyfriend.  When we were ordering dinner, the waitress asked him what
he wanted to drink.  The guy said "Coke".  The waitress replied that they
only had "Pepsi".  He agreed and as the waitress walked away the guy
said, "I don't know what the big deal is, why they only carry Coke or
Pepsi.  They're all owned by the same company.  You know, Coca-COLA.
Pepsi-COLA."

The sad part about it was he was totally serious.  Needless to say, this
man won't be fathering my children.

When I was dating her, my ex-wife bought a used car.  Actually, her
father did all the negotiating, choosing, etc.  She called me when she
got home to tell me about her new car, and when I asked what kind it was,
she said she didn't know, all she knew was that "it says 'PRNDL' over the
steering wheel" (she actually pronounced it "perndle").

One day, my ex and I were talking and she asked, "How do those car phones
work when the sun goes down?"

I said, "It's cellular, not solar."

My son's band had a gig to play for the Knights Of Columbus in a city 200
miles away.  When they got to the city, they stopped to ask some teenager
where the "K of C" was.  The teen gave them directions.  They followed
them right to a Kentucky Fried Chicken.
