The old notion was that man's life consisted of seven ages; namely,
infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, middle age, old age and
dotage.  My current notion is that there are only two ages:  those
under 25 and those who have moved past 25.  I conclude this, not just
because I have moved from one group into the other, but because of
changing physical characteristics.

Nice children never talk to anyone on the street, even their
grandparents.  Until you are eligible for Medicare and too old to be
useful to anyone, you can't determine other's trustworthiness.  Up to
the age of 25, men's complexions are well tanned year round, hair
pruned correctly, a hormonal dysfunction results in an occasional
bulge in the pants.  Men assume an air of cockiness much like many
male birds when their mate is in season.  In a moment of weakness,
when they feel compelled to put their arms around something, it
frequently is a beer bottle.  Decision making is put off as long as
possible, probably to avoid making mistakes.  Women, on the other
hand, keep up with the latest in styles and spend money to the extent
of the checks they have in their checkbooks.  Between brushing their
teeth and gargling, they nightly visit the hottest spots or the latest
in-place.  Gorgeous and spontaneous are in!  If a friend annoys, junk
them.

The party starts after 25.

You have reached your stride.  Ladies can move from bar stools to
looser fitting clothes and lounging around the house or apartment.
Music becomes easy listening, marriage and children the topics.  Men
move from slicked down to wearing their stomachs hang over their
Levies and if their Rebocks get dusty it doesn't matter.  Stretch
denims are suddenly OK.  Mowing the lawn, keeping receipts, listening
to the CB when not driving, complaining how April weather just isn't
what it used to be, or joining a baby-sitting club is OK.  Eventually
the decision must be made whether to give up sex or make love to older
women.  Like buying your first car or owning your first property,
divorce will give you the basis for learning about the banking, legal
and accounting professions.  Growing old is wonderful!
