OK... like when the Vancouver Indian Chief found his daughter sleeping
with one of the tribe's braves <George>, he was furious.

  "Because you slept with my daughter," he roared, "you must marry
her. But first, you must pass a test of courage to show that you're
worthy."

  "Anything," said the bold young buck <George>.

  At the chief's instructions, the brave hacked a hole in the ice of
a frozen lake. "Now," said the chief, "you must swim the mile across
and back. If you succeed, you may marry my daughter."

  Without hesitation, the young Indian jumped in; by nightfall he
hadn't returned and was presumed dead.

  The young squaw was distraught, and to atone for his vengeful act
the chief named the lake after the brave, a name it retains to this
day: Lake <George> Schmuck.

  Two guys are walking along, and Harry keeps going on about how he
hates Italians. "Greasy wops," he grumbles, "always makin' noise. And
talk about dumb...Wish they'd go back where they came from."

  In the middle of this harangue, they come to a street corner where
there's an organ grinder. He really looks the part: one earring,
tattered gypsy jacket, and is loudly singing "O Sole Mio." So Phil is
astonished when Harry digs a $1 bill out of his pocket and gives it
to the organ grinder's little monkey.

  "What'd you do that for?" he asks. "I thought you hated Italians."

  "I do," sighs Harry, "but they're so cute when they're young."

  The history teacher had a policy of letting people who had been a
part of history lecture his class whenever possible.

  When it came time to teach the history of the First World War, he
asked a Swedish neighbor of his to talk about his experience flying
for the British air force.

  "Vell," he said to the class, "von day I remember vell vas ven ve
vas flying our Schpads over Chermany . . . and all of a zudden zeez
two Fuckers fly at us from ze sun. At vonce, I did a loop, but ze
Fuckers stayed on my tail. So I did anudder, and still ze Fuckers vus
wit me."

  "Excuse me," the teacher interrupted, "but I think I should point
out to the class that the German planes to which our guest is
referring are Fokkers, which were a sturdy make of German aircraft."

  "Dat's true," said the guest, "but in dis case, de two Fuckers vas
flying Messerschmidts."
