  Right like the....  man who decided to take his vacation in Africa,
so he made arrangements to go on a safari. He brought some boots, a
bush jacket, and a gun and decided that he was all set to be a big-

his gun, took aim, fired, and missed by a mile. The lion got up and

  "Miss Nolan," said the doctor with a smile, "I think this will be
your last visit."

  "Oh, Doctor," she said anxiously, "do you really think my
kleptomania is cured?"

  "Yes, I do," reeplied her doctor reassuringly. "You haven't stolen
a thing in the last six months."

  "How can I ever repay you?" said the grateful patient.

  "Don't give it another thought," said the doctor. "My fee has been
paid by your fiance, and now that you're cured, I'm sure you two will
have every chance at happiness."
"Yes, but are you sure that there is nothing that I can do for you
personally?"

  "No," replied the doctor, "not for me, but if you should suffer a
relapse, you might pick up a nice CD player for my son."

  Two old men were sitting peacefully in a canoe out in the middle of
the lake. It was a beautiful sunny day, a perfect day for fishing.
Suddenly the serene atmosphere was broken. A tourist came roaring out
onto the lake in a high-powered speedboat. He went back and forth, up
and down, and finally around in a circle before stopping about twenty
feet away from the little canoe. The two old men were rocked
violently in his wake and very nearly capsized. The tourist proceeded
to drop a line over the side, but he had scared all the fish away. In
a few minutes he grew impatient and decided to leave. He stood up and
turned toward the engine, but he got his foot caught and fell out of
the boat. As he surfaced, he cried, "Help,help. I can't swim."
  One of the old-timers in the canoe gave him a smile and replied,
"Neither can I, son, but I ain't makin' a fuss about it."
