     UPI 10:22  Wal-Mart says dog meat for humans out

     BENTONVILLE, Ark., April 30 1997 (UPI)
  A Wal-Mart spokesman says (Wednesday) dog meat for human
  consumption is already off the shelves at its super center in
  Schenzhen, China. Company spokesman Les Copeland says "a decision
  was made" to pull the dog meat in February and wonders why
  "cooking dogs" is an issue now.  He says no dog meat is being
  sold by Wal- Mart stores anywhere.


     Looks like Spot is safe for now.
